The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
